About LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose - REFIBRA™

About LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose - REFIBRA™

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose fibers produced with REFIBRA™ technology use cotton textile waste as a raw material, in addition to wood. The fibers contain a minimum of 20% recycled material, which is sourced from post-consumer waste. These cotton scraps could have otherwise entered landfills or been incinerated. LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose fibers produced with REFIBRA™ technology also meet the Recycled Claim Standard. The reuse of waste materials represents an important contribution to the circular economy in the textile industry. In pioneering the usage of recycled content in the production of cellulosic fibers, Lenzing has applied its strong know-how to help the industry take a big step forward. REFIBRA™ technology is not only built upon the highly efficient production processes of standard LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose fibers, but also further cuts down the need for virgin raw materials.

Spinning mills benefit from the fiber properties of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose - REFIBRA™ in the following ways:
- The fiber is compatible with all spinning technologies and performs comparably to standard LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose fibers.
- It overcomes limitations of mechanically recycled cotton, enabling finer yarn titers beyond Nm 61.
- It blends easily with all other fiber types, offering increased flexibility.
- It can be blended with recycled cotton, supporting a textile-to-textile circular economy.
- It is cost-effective, with optimized spinning recommendations developed in collaboration with leading machine manufacturers.

Fabric mills, dyers and finishers benefit from the fiber properties of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose - REFIBRA™ in the following ways:
- It offers fiber properties comparable to LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose, ensuring consistent processing performance.
- It supports endless design possibilities in knits and wovens through blending with all major fiber types.
- Its fine fiber titer of 1.3 dtex allows for the production of lightweight fabrics with tactile softness and flowing drape.
- It enables easy dyeing and finishing routes.
- It ensures good reproducibility in processing, delivering consistent quality.
- It is certified under OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, Class 1.
- It provides full traceability through fiber identification technology, ensuring transparency across the supply chain.
